Morning Appointments 

Please phone our switchboard if you would like to speak with a GP from 8.30am onwards. Receptionists will take calls between 8am and 8.30am if the matter is urgent otherwise they may tell you to ring back after 8.30am.  You will be placed on a telephone triage system. The GPs will call you during the day and if they need to see you they will offer you a face to face appointment.

Appointments 

Face to face appointments are only bookable by the GPs if they feel it necessary following an initial telephone consultation.  These are afternoon appointments only.

Reception

Our receptionists are here to help you communicate with us and ensure the smooth running of the practice. Our receptionists are bound by the same codes of confidentiality as the Doctors and anything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00am if you require a home visit on 01326 280761.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Our doctors and nurses can offer advice on the telephone. Please be prepared to give some indication of the nature of your enquiry and leave a contact number where they can call you back.
