Each morning there are two doctors on duty operating an open access and a bookable surgery. Bookable appointments are 8.40am, 8.50am, 9am and 9.10am and these are bookable the previous working day after 2pm. Open access is between 9.30am and 10.30 and no appointment is necessary, but you must arrive between 9.30am and 10.30am and be prepared to wait your turn.
For the doctors' afternoon surgery we now offer 3 clinics on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Each appointment is 10 minutes. Please let the receptionist know if you need more time. If you book a single appointment, please only expect to discuss a single medical problem, to allow the doctor to run on time.
If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know on 01326 280761.
Our receptionists are here to help you communicate with us and ensure the smooth running of the practice. Our receptionists are bound by the same codes of confidentiality as the Doctors and anything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit on 01326 280761.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
Our doctors and nurses can offer advice on the telephone. Please be prepared to give some indication of the nature of your enquiry and leave a contact number where they can call you back.
